It’s Time to Start Planning - Saturday, February 19th, 1 to 3 p.m. We'll take you through the full calendar year in the garden with suggestions about what varieties and techniques have worked well for us.

Low Tunnels and Row Covers - Saturday, April 23rd, 1 to 3 p.m. When used properly, row covers and low tunnels provide protection against both insects and frost. This results in greatly enhanced plant health and vigor. Join us and we will show you how to use them and explain why they work so well.
Stay Cool with Cool Season Crops - Wednesday, May 11th, 6 to 8 p.m. Cool season crops can be incredibly productive if planted at the right time and given a few basic needs. We’ll take a look at our cool season crops as they reach maturity to see how well they have performed this year. We will share our plans for our fall cool season plantings as well.
Soil Health and Downstream Consequences - Wednesday, June 1st, 6 to 8 p.m. Building long term soil health is the foundation of all crop growing success. We’ll discuss everything from soil testing to cover crops and organic mulches. You will learn how to maximize production while at the same time, protecting this valuable resource.
Summer High Tunnel Production - Thursday, June 23rd, 6 to 8 p.m. Farmers often speak of the advantages of high tunnel production to extend the growing season in Spring and Fall. Did you know that certain crops perform extremely well during the summer months inside a high tunnel? We will talk about which crops do well in this environment and how to maximize your summer production.
Friends with Benefits - Saturday, June 25th, 1 to 3 p.m. Much of the conversation about insects in the garden centers around how to kill them, but there is another way. This workshop will introduce you to some of the insect predators and pollinators in the garden and how to encourage them to work on your side.
Drip Irrigation - Saturday, July 9th, 1 to 3 p.m. With modern drip irrigation systems it is easy to irrigate your garden. We’ll show you how we have our system set up and discuss where to find the materials and how to use this system to increase your productivity.
High-Yielding Hybrids - Thursday, July 14th, 6 to 8 p.m. There are many advantages to growing hybridized crops including increased vigor, productivity, and uniformity, along with decreased susceptibility to disease. Come and learn which hybrid crops can make your time in the field more fruitful.
Cut Flowers, More than just a pretty face - Wednesday, July 27th, 6 to 8 p.m. Cut flowers can be an excellent add-on to any farming enterprise. We’ll showcase our cut flower demonstration and show you how to give your production a jumpstart. Fill your world with color with this highly marketable crop.
Wonders of Watermelons - Wednesday, August 3rd, 6 to 8 p.m. Come and learn the ins and outs of growing this very popular and profitable crop. We’ll have both seedless and seeded varieties and will talk about the advantages and pitfalls of each. There will be taste-testing too!
